Sun 23 May 2010  League
Moulton Magpies U14 0
Kettering Town Under 14's 2

Last match of the season saw Kettering start the stronger, however both teams played good football. Kettering Town, looking for their first ever league victory, took an early lead through Abigail with Hannah Firman extending the lead with another amazing shot from distance, after hitting the crossbar earlier. 2-0 Kettering at half time. Both teams played great football in the second half and Kettering came close to increasing the lead, however some fine Goalkeeping from the Moulton keeper prevented this....GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM BOTH TEAMS TO END A GREAT SEASON.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
